Taking it to the next level 0 Comments

I was recently introduced to sourceradio.com which hosts a lot of on-demand streaming CS:S matches.  Realizing that I actually have no idea how to play properly, I have taken it upon myself to start watching some professional games to see how those teams play differently than me & my team (reverse-clan.com).

There are a couple things I've noticed right off the bat.  First off, these guys are pretty damn good.  If they see someone, they'll kill them, or get killed trying.  There's no injury or any of that.  They just die.  Always.  That's pretty impressive.

Second, obviously they've done this before.  They know exactly where to move like clockwork.  Not having a scrim server to practice has made this a LOT harder because co-ordinating with your teammates is crucial.  Everyone's coving someone else's back, and they've all got their back covered.  It's a perfect circle of .... teamwork.  Very cool.

They used nades every 2 seconds.  I didn't know they could hold that many grenades.  (Obviously they buy the maximum every round) but boy do they use them -- and well!

There are also some other cool tricks I noticed like early in the match only one person buys/can afford a rifle so they share it, similar to whoever is holding the bomb.  I've seen some impressive bomb-throwing to teammates in order to rotate then plant the bomb quicker.

Hopefully I can try out some of these tricks with my team.  We've still got lots to learn, but that just makes it more exciting.
